"I chose G&M for my project because my dad had a previous relationship with G&M. I had heard of Jeff and felt comfortable with using their firm. My initial impression was that they were knowledgeable of the land subdivision process. Dad had previously run into troubles trying to do a small lot split and eventually had to stop the project. I took over and revisited the situation with Jeff. The most challenging part of this project was that the Fire District’s requirements were for a 35’ setback which rendered the property unbuildable. Jeff, however, identified and solved the problem by using a work-around that allowed a mitigation of the Fire District’s requirement, thereby allowing the Board to agree to my lot split. I would recommend G&M because they are hard-working, honest, have good follow-up and are professional. They did not consider my project too small. They are knowledgeable of the Castro Valley area. I am also using them for another lot."
